Keith Johnson of Anthropologie Returns to Ame Ame

When you look at what Keith Johnson reported to Travel + Leisure as his favorite travel outfit it’s not quite a surprise that the man who for 20 years shaped all that we love about Anthropologie, returned to visit Ame Ame during one of his visits to NOMAD for a bite of Sweetgreen and sip of Stumptown coffee.

I recognized him from a previous visit, but only from today’s visit and a little bit of chatting did I learn who Mr. Keith is.

All I can really say is “Wow, what a nice person!”  Mr. Johnson kindly shared with me his Anthropologie story and kindly took this photo with me.  While any other person might have been offended that at first I questioned whether or not he was a man who traveled much.  (This was of course before I knew he founded Anthropologie.  Plus I know that in NYC most people travel a lot, but you really don’t want to be presumptuous right?)

I’ve always been one for sentiment and photos to jog the mind later of special and serendipitous occasions.  And this is one moment I don’t think I will ever forget.

And as you can see, we both recognize vests as great spring transitional outwear pieces and enjoy classic sneakers.
