One of the awesome things about being independent and boutique is that we can suddenly switch things up.
And awesomely Amé Amé friends get ultra excited when we’re going through the change. That’s why we don’t really shut our doors to our friends and patrons when the store is temporarily being turned upside down.
Right now we’re going through some major changes because for the last few months I’ve been looking for somebody to partner up with me on making my dream of “Fox Den Vintage & Home Goods” really come true. And suddenly like a bolt of lightening, that person walked into Amé Amé with a similar vision and eagerness to create some magic.
More about Fox Den Vintage & Home Goods will be shared in future updates, but for now I’d like to share some of the inspiration and thoughts behind my dream for Fox Den Vintage and Home Goods.
Home is where our adventures begin and end. Home is where we should have some of our greatest celebrations.
And just as we shape our buildings and then our buildings shape us (as Winston Churchill once so eloquently put), we shape our homes and then our homes shape us. The same also goes for our offices and every other space we occupy.
For the last two years “travel” has been a big part of the inspiration of Gift Giving at Amé Amé.
Yet, sometimes travel might not be as convenient or possible as we’d wish it to be, especially right now with many different things going on in the world.
So I want to inspire people to make their homes as magical and wonderful as the places they long to see and to ensure their homes provide them as much joy and contentment as anything else does in life.
Your home deserves “gifts,” otherwise you’re just living within walls among things.
And to me, some of the best gifts for the home are gifts that were already once loved and have traveled time. They have a quality to them that bring story and magic into a home and make people feel comfortable.
Rarely have I ever bought new things for my home, and I’ll explain another time how and when I decided to buy new.
In the meanwhile, I can’t wait for people (hopefully you) to come in and say “I’d love to buy a gift for my home.”
